Get to know the dedicated parents serving on this year’s PTO Board! Their passion, experience, and commitment will help make this an incredible year for our students, families, and staff. Together, we’re making a difference!
President — Kelly Woon
Aloha! My son, David, has been attending TLC for five years. I’m originally from California, grew up in Hawaii, and taught in Las Vegas for 20 years. I hold a master’s degree in Educational Administration and have the honor of serving our school through PTO. I can’t wait to get to know our families better as we collaborate and dream big for our kids!
Vice President — John Massena
Aloha! My name is John Massena, and I’m excited to begin this new journey in education. I was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii, and proudly come from a Samoan-Filipino heritage.
I’m a retired U.S. Army veteran with 22 years of service. As a parent of children on the autism spectrum, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible growth and progress that can happen when children are given the right support and opportunities. Their journey inspired me to help other students reach their fullest potential.
I believe every child has unique strengths, talents, and the ability to succeed. When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me at the beach, in the gym, or exploring new restaurants as a dedicated foodie. I look forward to partnering with our families and helping our students have a successful and memorable school year!
Secretary — Sage Khoueiri
I’m the proud parent of one of The Learning Center’s original high school students, Aris, who has attended TLC since 7th grade. Now a senior and captain of the Manta Tech Robotics team, watching his growth and success has been an incredible journey.
When I’m not managing my skincare studio, Sage Esthetics, I enjoy supporting our TLC community through PTO. Serving as PTO Secretary is a meaningful way for me to give back, and I look forward to helping our school continue to grow while celebrating the achievements of our amazing students, staff, and families.
Treasurer — Wanda Sovic
My daughter, Lucy, has been a student at TLC since 2020. She is now 10 and has grown so much during her time at TLC. I’m originally from Oregon and worked in Miami for 10 years.
My family is so grateful to be part of the TLC family. I’m excited about the opportunities the new TLC campus will provide for all of us and look forward to serving our school community in any way I can!
Welcome to the 2026–2027 PTO Board, and thank you for serving our TLC community!
💙☀️ Together, we shine brighter!
